World Town Planning Day (WTPD) is celebrated every 8th November in over 30 countries, including Brunei Darussalam to honour the role of town planners in creating sustainable and livable spaces for our communities. This year's theme 'Learn Globally, Apply Locally' focuses on the value of learning from global planning practices, and fostering innovative solutions to better adapt locally in addressing challenges for the pursuit of sustainable development.

To mark this year celebration, Doa Selamat and Asar Prayers will be held on the 9th November at the Ministry of Development building. This is followed up with a bowling tournament for all departments under the Ministry of Development that will begin on Friday afternoon, 10 November until 12th November 2023. This game aims to instill partnership and team work among key players in planning and development.
