Planning Guidelines and Standards for Earthwork Development (Focus on Developments in Environmentally Sensitive Areas) 2012

Earthwork development whether in area which are not considered environmentally sensitive or those that are in the environmentally sensitive areas is  prone to disaster and danger to the public if it is not implemented in accordance with specific standards and regulations.

Land erosions, landslides and sedimentations are the result of the earthwork that has been carried out in accordance with the standards and regulations stipulated by the authorities. With the presence of these standards and guidelines, it is hope the negative impacts of earthwork developments in environmentally sensitive area can be prevented or minimized, hence ensuring sustainable development. It is also our aspiration that this will generate a balance between physical development and environmental protection which will be beneficial to all.
